We start with a full slab inspection, checking for moisture, cracks, and unevenness before a single tile goes down - critical here, where humidity and ground moisture are constants rather than exceptions. We use modified thinset rated for the tile size, back-butter large-format pieces for full coverage, and set leveling clips on planks and big rectangles to kill lippage. Showers get Schluter Kerdi or RedGard waterproofing, a sloped pre-pitch mortar bed, and a properly bonded curb.
